Why cedar? Cedar is one of the world’s most durable woods, as it has a natural resistance to moisture, decay, and insect damage. While this is true, it is still recommended to seal any exterior pieces subject to prolonged exposure.

Finish Options:
Unstained - bare cedar wood, lightly sanded, ready for personalization. Sealing is recommended for prolonged outdoor exposure but cedar is known for its longevity in the elements.
Stained / Sealed - used to adjust to desired color using an oil-based stain that accents the wood grain (if desired) and is followed by a sealer to protect. We opt for an exterior stain-and-sealer all-in-one product when possible and suits customer needs.
If no stain is desired, a water sealer - a transparent sealer used to seal out water, retains natural color - will be used.
Painted - used to personalize to the desired color using exterior-grade paint.
Distressed - often a dark brown undercoat with an ivory topcoat, sanded to look aged.
